Finally, the promised photos of my shift. The shift is "self-supporting". These photos were taken after I had been wearing it for nearly 14 hours. It works better than any mundane bra I own.

I started with a loose sort of tank dress and I took in the sides a bit at a time. The shift is made from cotton muslin cut on the grain.

The shift is not lopsided (I know it looks that way). Actually, I am lopsided. Seven years of propping kids on my hip and I've managed to really over-develop one shoulder in comparison to the other. Even though the straps look really uneven, my breasts are even. (I know I look like I eat small children for lunch. These photos were taken after a long day at an event.)

Shift back.

Even though the shift is very tight, the back is completely smooth.
